Wonders of the universe: Eventually to be snuffed out

You may have seen a programme called “wonders of the universe” on BBC One this week, and if you didn’t, there’s a link to it below. But if you did see it then you’ll know that a large portion of the show was dedicated to exploring how life in the universe will eventually come to an end. Unfortunately, and because of the wonders of television, it only explored one possible way in which all life as we know it will be snuffed out. As it turns out, there are 101 other ways the world could end, and this is something we’ll be looking at in the upcoming print edition of Future magazine.
