Sea levels are on the rise

According to new research, sea levels are rising faster than ever due to melting ice glaciers. The studies conducted found changes in 270 of the largest glaciers between Chile and Argentina since the “Little Ice Age”.

They also found that glaciers have lost volume on average “10 to 100 times faster” in the last 30 years. The Upsala Glacier, in Patagonia has retreated about 13km since 1750 and the rapid melt rate is linked to the rises in global sea level.
